Supplied on rolls of 5 meters and available in white and brown, they feature an intumescent strip which expands when exposed to intense heat, and a brush to prevent smoke from spreading. With a 30-minute fire rating, they are independently tested to British Standard 476-22:1987 and commonly-used in schools, offices, shops, rented properties, and other public buildings.
Ensure you have a 3mm gap between the door and frame to ensure the surface mounted fire and smoke seal will fit. When it comes to installation, start from the bottom, peeling off the protective film, and position it up against the frame stop.
