Introducing Launcher Fire Extinguishers: a revolutionary innovation in fire protection. Our advanced technology sets these extinguishers apart, automatically activating in the presence of fire when no one is present. With 24-hour availability, these portable extinguishers are the world's first of their kind, ensuring ease of use in various settings.

By combining manual and automatic actuation, our unique discharge system operates like a conventional fire extinguisher. With a hose and lever handle, you can effortlessly pick up the extinguisher, aim, and activate it, directing your efforts towards tackling the fire while ensuring your safety.

How do Launcher Fire Extinguishers work?

Previously, combating fires in unattended areas seemed nearly impossible. However, with the Launcher fire extinguisher, your property can now enjoy round-the-clock fire protection every day of the year.

Equipped with two heat sensors on either side of the extinguisher head, the unit is triggered automatically when temperatures reach 68°C. Depending on which sensor(s) are activated, the extinguisher releases its contents through one or both sides, efficiently extinguishing nearby fires without any human intervention.

UKCA Approved, CE Marked and BSI Tested, these 24-hour fire extinguishers can even handle larger fires. Firefighters can launch the unit towards the fire, transforming it into a mini suppression system while you make your way to safety.

You can trust Launcher fire extinguishers to effectively safeguard your property from potential fires, as they are available in various sizes to suit your specific requirements.

Which types of fires are Launcher extinguishers safe to use on?

These extinguishers are capable of safely and effectively tackling Class A fires (wood, paper, cloth, etc.), Class B fires (flammable liquids), Class C fires (gas - but only if the gas can be turned off), and even fires involving live electrical equipment. They are renowned for their versatility.

However, it is crucial to note that powder fire extinguishers are no longer recommended for indoor use. The updated British Standard 5306-8:2012, titled "Selection and positioning of portable fire extinguishers – Code of Practice," states the following:

"5.4.3 Use of powder extinguishers - Discharging a powder extinguisher indoors can cause a sudden reduction in visibility and impair breathing, posing a temporary risk to escape, rescue, or other emergency actions. Therefore, powder extinguishers should generally not be specified for indoor use unless a health and safety risk assessment mitigates the concerns."

However, this concern becomes irrelevant when the extinguishers activate in unoccupied premises. If your property is at high risk of fire, especially during unoccupied periods, the Launcher powder fire extinguisher may be the ideal choice.
